THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

I am WALKING ON AIR!!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for making me your next Design Star!! This whole experience has been amazing, and I am so honored to be able to represent all of us 'normal folk' who are passionate about design. You have no idea how much this means to me, and I can't properly express the enormity of what's begun to happen in my life. And all thanks to YOU!!!

My blog will be rather quiet for a bit as I begin the transition into my new career (!!!!!!!), but please check back later this fall so that I can fill you in on my 'behind the scenes' experiences as HGTV's Design Star! (I've noticed a proliferation of exclamation points in this entry, but it's the only way to let you know how excited I am!)

Again, I thank each and every one of you who've supported me, encouraged me, and VOTED for me! I can't wait to debut my new show this spring, and I promise that we're all about to have a ton of fun together!

With a full heart-
Kim

Congratulations Kim! You are an inspiration. My husband is now bugging me constantly to try for Design Star. I have a love for design and a talent with color but no "official" background in the field. You make me believe it's possible! Best wishes for much success and joy in the adventure you are about to begin!

I'm so happy for you Kim. I voted several times for you and figured you would get it. Todd is very talented as well but to me, you overcame many more hurdles to get here and you deserve this! You go Girl!

Oh so many congratulations! You looked gorgeous in that aqua dress, too - it was a FABULOUS cut and color for you!

It made me so happy to see you win, and I'm really, REALLY looking forward to watching your new show(

(and how exciting must that be to hear and say: "my new show!")

ps. do you think you could get Will or Sparkle Josh as a regular guest? I'd love to see more of them!

Congratulations, Kim!! We were pulling for you--we watched with baited breath last night as they read the winner. Yeah!! We think you'll do an incredible job---there's something to be said for natural ability and design sense...Good luck with your new show!

The three of us (sisters!) do a design podcast--none of us are designers by profession, but find ourselves talking about it all the time. We'd LOVE to interview you before your phone lines ring off the hook (we may be too late!)

Hi, Kim! I'm so happy for you. I voted for you! You're so talented, and such fun to watch. The win was very deserved. It's cool to see a winner from NYC too - I lived in Jersey for 8 years, worked in JC.

I've been a fan of HGTV for many years, and I think you'll do great on it. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with as a show.

Many blessings and joys in your journey.
Best,
Susanna

Congrats Kim!
I sent you an email, I know you are busy but if you get a sec you can check it out!
Anyways Congrats! I watched from DAY 1, Actually my whole family did!
I said from day one you would be the likely winner, even before seeing what you can do, simply because you are you, simple, everyday person, who isnt a designer by profession but by passion! And it pays off! God has blessed you and it was only a matter of time before his plan was set into action! Well it is now your time! Congrats again and soak it up Girl! YOU DESERVE IT!
God Bless you and Never Change who you really are or where you came from! I mean that!

It's never to late to say CONGRATS!!! I am so thrilled that you won, and I was holding my breath (as I'm sure you were) while awaiting the announcement of the winner on the finale show. You stood out to me right from the start, and I was rooting for you. Your honest and fresh approach (not only with design but also with how you worked with a diverse cast of designers) were part of what made you stand out to me. I'm looking forward to seeing your new show in the spring - good luck and have fun (take time to breathe!!!) as you transition into this new and very exciting chapter in your life!

KIM! You are my herro!!!
When I saw your picture in the Oct 8th issue of JET I cryed. I am so proud of you. You took your passion and did what was in your heart. This is your destiny, it shows in the way you took charge in every challenge that was given you. Awesome, the way you carried your self and the love for family, the strength you showed in character, the presentations of each room, the way you came off to the camera and your vocal ability all added to a winner. Kim, I will continue to pray for you and GOD will continue to bless. Embrace every moment. I look foward to seeing you SHINE.
